Management Team

James G. Dadmun

CEO

James G. Dadmun has served as President and CEO of the DGI Group since 1999. During this period, Mr. Dadmun has continued to expand the scope and breadth of the company through a series of strategic mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining DGI, Mr. Dadmun was President and CEO of Techex, Inc., an international distributor of integrated computer graphics and video systems operating through seven subsidiaries worldwide. Previously, Mr. Dadmun served ten years as Vice President and Senior Division Director of the International division of the Shawmut Bank, N.A. and before that he was with the U.S. Treasury Department assigned to the Comptroller of the Currency. During his career, Mr. Dadmun has served on numerous corporate boards and committees in the United States, Europe and Asia. Mr. Dadmun holds an MBA and a BBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

With over 35 years of diverse executive experience in management, systems integration and finance, Mr. Dadmun provides DGI with a comprehensive and balanced perspective for the future growth and diversification of the organization.

 

Russell Oliver, RCDD, NTS, DCDC, ESS

President

Russell Oliver has served as President of DGI Technologies since November of 2011. Prior to joining DGI, Mr. Oliver was Chief Operating Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President at One Communications.  Previously, Mr. Oliver served as Chief Technology Officer of CTC Communications and Vice President of Business Development for Columbia Ventures Corporation (CTC Communications parent). In his 11 years with CTC, he held various executive positions including roles in network engineering, operations, IS/IT and marketing and product development. Before joining CTC Communications, Mr. Oliver was Vice President of Network Systems Integration, North America for Williams Communications (WilTel) and served as Vice President of Operations for Comlink Inc., a New England based telecommunications integrator.  Mr. Oliver is a past President of BICSI, a worldwide telecommunications association and holds several technical designations from that organization. He has served on several private company and non-profit boards and committees, and he holds a BS degree in Communications from Worcester State University. With over 28 years of experience in the Communications industry, Mr. Oliver brings a wide range of executive level experience to DGI including extensive merger and acquisition, IP and communications technology, engineering and operations related knowledge.

 

Steven Walls, PMP

Vice President Operations

Steven Walls joined the DGI Technologies senior management team as the Vice President of Operations in December 2014. Mr. Walls is a technology industry veteran with 25 years experience in professional service team development, management and growth performance. Steven is overseeing DGI Technologies’ Operations Unit, implementing progressive IT and project management practices for sustained and increased corporate growth. Prior to joining DGI, Mr. Walls implemented enterprise collaboration technology solutions for Cisco Systems Advanced Services while providing project management consulting for two of their global enterprise financial accounts.

In the eight-year span prior to Cisco, Mr. Walls held various senior management positions overseeing the consultant engineering and project management services at Presidio Incorporated, at which he is credited with increasing Presidio’s northeast consulting capacity more than two-fold during his tenure. Previous to his term with Presidio, Mr. Walls also held leadership positions at NextiraOne, Williams Communications and Comlink Network Services, through corporate mergers spanning over 19 years.

Mr. Walls holds telecommunication licenses with Rhode Island and Connecticut. In addition he has earned the designation Project Management Professional (PMP®) by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) as well as ITILI® V3 Foundation and 6Sigma Greenbelt certification.

 

Robert J. Novelli

CFO

Robert Novelli has served as CFO of the DGI Group since 2000. During this period, Mr. Novelli has been integrally involved in several mergers and acquisitions the group has initiated, as well as improving the overall efficiency and profitability of the Group. Prior to joining DGI, Mr. Novelli was Controller, then CFO of Digitech International, the parent company of Techex, Inc. and Digital Graphics, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Novelli spent a year with the Learning Company, a world leading supplier of educational and entertainment software packages. Previously, Mr. Novelli served 13 years as Inventory Manager and Accountant of Techex, Inc., an international distributor of computer graphics hardware and software operating with seven foreign subsidiaries as well as several international joint ventures. Mr. Novelli holds an MBA from Nichols College and a BS in Accounting from Fitchburg State University.

With over 28 years of experience in finance and operations, Mr. Novelli brings to the DGI Group a solid knowledge of Accounting, Finance and System integration which will aid in the continued future growth of the organization.

 

Terri L. Amaral

Customer Service Manager

Terri Amaral recently joined the DGI Group as Customer Service Manager for the DGI Technologies Division.  Previously she held the position of Office Manager for Berway Visual Products, Inc, a recent acquisition of DGI Technologies.

Ms. Amaral brings vital customer service skills and systems integration knowledge to DGI Technologies.  She is focused on expanding the Customer Service department and implementing a new office software system.  As DGI Technologies grows, Ms Amaral works closely with new clients and staff to maintain a transparent and seamless transition into the DGI family.

Previous to joining Berway Visual Products, Inc., Ms. Amaral had been the Customer Service Coordinator in both technical and administrative roles while working for Mellon Bank.  Through her roles as both Administrator and Business Analyst she was able to meet the requirements and needs of both internal and external customers.

Ms. Amaral’s years of experience in the customer service field, and her strong customer minded mentality bring an integral component to DGI Technologies’ commitment to customer satisfaction.

 

Sylvia E. Mauro

Director of Marketing

Sylvia E. Mauro has been with the DGI Group since 1998.  She began her career at DGI as a Customer Service Representative and later became the Manager of the Sales Support and Installation Departments. Since 2009 Sylvia has served as a Senior Project Manager for several of DGI’s top clients.  Sylvia recently transitioned into her current role as Director of Marketing for the DGI Group.  Prior to joining DGI Sylvia held several teaching positions including Adjunct Professor of Photography at the Rhode Island School of Design, Photography Instructor at the National Cathedral School, Washington DC, and teaching within the Department of Defense School System in Kaiserslautern Germany. Ms. Mauro has a BS in Media and Communications from Framingham State College, Framingham, MA and an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD.

Ms. Mauro has over 25 years of experience in the visual communications industry. The pairing of her management skills with her creative talents and vision provides the DGI group with a solid marketing presence in today’s marketplace.
